Badrinath Temple
The northern Char Dham, on the Alaknanda river.

About the temple
The Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand is dedicated to Vishnu as Badrinarayan and stands on the bank of the Alaknanda river. It is the northern site of the Char Dham and also one of the four shrines of the Chota Char Dham.
Seasonal access. Badrinath is open for only part of the year and closes for the winter. The opening and closing dates are announced each year, so check them before planning.
Before you go
Darshan timings, entry rules, dress expectations and any ticketing are decided by the temple and can change. This page does not publish them because Athaahanand cannot keep them current. Please confirm with the temple's own official channels before you travel.
