What the Mission is

The Sant Nirankari Mission is a spiritual movement that began in Peshawar in 1929 and is today headquartered at Sant Nirankari Colony in Delhi, with devotees across India and around the world.

Its message is simple: God is formless (Nirankar) and present everywhere, in every form. Through the grace of the living Satguru, a seeker can come to know God — Brahm Gyan — in this very life. The Mission calls this self-realisation through God-realisation.

From that knowledge follows the rest: seeing every human being as one family, living with humility and love, and serving others without discrimination of caste, creed, colour or nationality.

Seva, Simran, Satsang

Three practices at the heart of a devotee’s life.

  • A village community gathered around a yagna fire led by sages under treesVillages gather for a shared yagna — seva that strengthens every family.

    Seva

Selfless service — from community kitchens and cleanliness drives to blood donation and relief work.

  • An elderly sage in saffron meditating cross-legged with a mala beneath a banyan treeMala in hand under the banyan — the quiet discipline of mantra meditation.

    Simran

Remembering God at every moment, in work and in rest, without elaborate ritual.

  • An elderly teacher reading scripture to listeners in a temple courtyard at duskScripture read and explained in the temple courtyard at dusk.

    Satsang

Coming together in the company of the truthful to listen, reflect and share.
